Controlled Dry Ice Cleaning
Dry ice pellets are accelerated using compressed air. On suitable surfaces, the combined impact and rapid sublimation help loosen contamination without introducing cleaning water. The media changes from solid to gas, leaving the removed contamination as the primary material to collect.

What types of commercial sites can you work in?
We assess work in production facilities, food processing environments, workshops, engineering sites, plant rooms and other commercial or industrial premises. Suitability depends on the surface, contamination, access and site controls.
Is dry ice cleaning suitable for every surface?
No. Every surface must be assessed. Historic, fragile, repaired, painted or unknown surfaces may require a test area before the wider work is approved.
Will the site need to shut down?
Not necessarily, but this depends on the equipment, work area and your operational procedures. Dry ice cleaning can help reduce downtime in suitable situations, but isolation, restricted access or a planned maintenance window may still be required.
Does the process use water or cleaning chemicals?
Dry ice cleaning introduces no cleaning water and requires no harsh cleaning chemicals as part of the blasting process. Certain contaminants or site risks may still require additional specialist controls.
Can it be used in food-processing environments?
It may be suitable for certain equipment, components and residues following assessment. Work must be planned around the facility’s hygiene, isolation and production controls. Dry ice cleaning should not be treated as automatic sanitisation or sterilisation.
Can you clean hazardous coatings or glass?
Titus does not clean glass using these systems. Suspected hazardous coatings or contamination must be identified before work begins and may require specialist testing, containment and additional controls.
